Privacy Policy
Last updated: 26 August 2026. This policy applies to the website at oow.berlin, the new version of the online presence of OOW Gesellschaft von Architekten mbH.
The most important points first
We have built this website to process as little data as possible:
No cookies. This website does not set cookies and does not store anything in your browser. That is why there is no cookie banner here either – there is nothing for you to consent to.
No tracking. We do not track who you are or what you do on other websites. We collect our visitor numbers anonymously and only in aggregated form.
No disclosure. We do not sell data and do not pass it on for advertising purposes.
Fonts from our own server. Our website delivers all fonts itself – no font services from Google, Adobe or other providers are accessed.
Four service providers come into contact with your data: Cloudflare (delivery of the website and anonymous visitor statistics), our own image server at oow.berlin, Microsoft (our email system, when you write to us) and Mailchimp (only if you sign up for the newsletter). What happens in each case is set out in the following sections.
1. Controller
The controller for data processing on this website is:
OOW Gesellschaft von Architekten mbH
Torstraße 42
10119 Berlin
Phone: +49 (0)30 7675 811 - 00
Email: [email protected]
For all questions concerning data protection – access requests, complaints, and requests for rectification or erasure – you can reach us at [email protected]. No data protection officer has been appointed; the office falls below the statutory thresholds above which an appointment is mandatory.
2. Your rights
As against us, you have the right to access your stored personal data (Art. 15 DSGVO (GDPR)), to rectification (Art. 16), to erasure (Art. 17), to restriction of processing (Art. 18) and to data portability (Art. 20). You may withdraw any consent given at any time with effect for the future.
Right to object (Art. 21 DSGVO): Insofar as we process data on the basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO), you may object to this processing at any time for reasons arising from your particular situation. To do so, write to [email protected].
In addition, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit, Alt-Moabit 59–61, 10555 Berlin, www.datenschutz-berlin.de.
3. Provision of the website
This website is delivered as a static site via Cloudflare Pages, a service of Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA.
When a page is called up, Cloudflare processes, as technically necessary, the data transmitted by your browser: IP address, date and time of the request, page requested, browser type and operating system. This data is required to deliver the page, secure the connection and ward off attacks. We ourselves do not combine this data with any other sources and do not create any personal profiles from it.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure and fast provision of the website (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO (GDPR)). Cloudflare is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework; Standard Contractual Clauses of the EU Commission are additionally in place. We have a data processing agreement in place with Cloudflare.
4. Anonymous visitor statistics
To understand which pages are read and how quickly the website loads, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, likewise a service of Cloudflare, Inc.
This tool works without cookies, without fingerprinting and without recognising individual visitors across multiple visits. It stores nothing on your device and reads nothing from your device. Aggregated data is collected – page views, referring page, country, browser type and technical load-time measurements. For this, your browser loads a small script from static.cloudflareinsights.com; this is the only call this website makes to an external address.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a reach-sparing measurement of the use and speed of our website (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO (GDPR)). Since nothing is stored on or read from the device, no consent is required under § 25 TDDDG.
5. Images from our media library
The photos on this website are currently loaded from our existing media library at oow.berlin. This server is operated for us by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen. When an image is loaded, this server technically receives your IP address. The same principles apply as in Section 3: no profiling, no combining of data. The legal basis is Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO (GDPR). This transitional state ends as soon as the images have fully moved to the new delivery.
6. Contact by email
If you send us an email, we process the details it contains in order to answer your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO (GDPR) where it concerns a contract or its initiation, and otherwise our legitimate interest in responding (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO).
Our email system runs on Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online) from Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, One Microsoft Place, South County Business Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18, Ireland. We have a data processing agreement in place with Microsoft.
We delete email correspondence as soon as it is no longer required for the purpose and no statutory retention obligations preclude this.
7. Job applications
We accept applications by email at [email protected]. We process the details from your documents solely for the decision on establishing an employment relationship (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO (GDPR) in conjunction with § 26 BDSG).
We delete your documents no later than six months after conclusion of the application process. Longer retention takes place only if you expressly consent or if it leads to a hiring.
Please note: if you send large documents via a file transfer service, you choose the provider yourself – that transfer route is governed by that provider's own privacy policy.
8. Newsletter
We send our newsletter via Mailchimp, a service of The Rocket Science Group LLC (a company of Intuit), 405 N. Angier Ave NE, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA.
When you sign up, we transmit your email address to Mailchimp. You first receive a confirmation email; only once you click the link in it does the sign-up become effective (double opt-in) – we send nothing before that. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. a DSGVO (GDPR)). You can withdraw it at any time, most easily via the unsubscribe link included in every newsletter; your address is then removed from the mailing list.
Mailchimp is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework; we have a data processing agreement in place with the provider. We do not use success measurement of individual recipients (open and click tracking).
9. Links to other providers
This website links, in a number of places, to external offerings, for example our profiles on Instagram and LinkedIn or individual press and video items. These are plain text links – no content, buttons or tracking pixels of these providers are embedded in our pages. Only when you follow such a link does your browser leave our website, and the privacy policy of the respective provider then applies.
10. Encryption
All connections to this website are encrypted with TLS (recognisable by the padlock symbol and by https in the address bar).
11. No automated decisions
We do not use automated decision-making or profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 DSGVO (GDPR).
12. Changes to this policy
If the website changes technically – for example, by adding a newsletter sign-up – we adapt this policy accordingly. The version published here applies in each case; the date at the top shows the version date.
