On the historic grounds of the former Weimar river baths on the Rummelsburg Spree, Flussbad Campus is emerging as an interdisciplinary home for culture, work, gastronomy and health. With Reethaus now open, the Werft steps in as the campus’s spatial hinge, binding Boathouse and “Platte” into a coherent whole.

Since 2023, the hospitality collective Slowness has been shaping its flagship: a campus that grows in measured phases and weaves existing and new buildings into a place for collaboration and programme. The planning team includes Arno Brandlhuber with Muck Petzet and Monika Gogl, joined by other acclaimed interior architects.
Reethaus marked the cultural overture in 2023 — a monastic, pared-back chamber for sound and gathering, equipped with 360-degree spatial audio, curated “Open Haus” formats and opportunities for private hire. Its language is calm, material-forward and focused — a deliberate counterpoint to the usual conference typologies.
Next comes the Werft, concentrating the campus’s key functions: a two-storey auditorium for teaching, talks and performance; working lofts and member desks; studios; a gallery bar; library; health & movement; and hotel rooms. Designed by Arno Brandlhuber and Muck Petzet, the building embraces a robust, unvarnished palette of concrete, glass and raw brick. Since late 2019, OOW has led the detailed design (Ausführungsplanung) for the Werft.
Anchoring the culinary offering, the Boathouse will pair an all-day restaurant with a club floor (opening planned for 2026/2027). The “Platte” already hosts working lofts and underpins the daily operations.
Throughout, the campus follows a principle of restraint: a few, precisely chosen materials; structure and services left legible; generous, flexible rooms ready for changing use. The result is clarity and longevity — architecture that lets programme and operations take centre stage.
